Kim Burwell

Kim Burwell is Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales, where she leads courses related to performance and performance pedagogy. Her research interests are focused on studio behaviour - in specialist instrumental and vocal lessons and in student approaches to personal practice. Her monograph Studio-based instrumental learning was published in 2012, as part of the Psychology of Music series sponsored by the Society for Education and Music Psychology Research (SEMPRE). She has also published papers in the International Journal of Music Education, Psychology of Music, British Journal of Music Education, Arts & Humanities in Higher Education, and Scientia Paedagogica Experimentalis.
